Vivo’s V29 Series welcomes a new member, the Vivo V29 Pro, featuring an additional rear camera and a more potent chipset compared to the standard V29. This release also serves as a successor to the earlier V27 Pro, which debuted earlier this year.
The Vivo V29 Pro stands out with the addition of a 12MP Sony IMX663 portrait sensor, bringing 2x zoom capabilities to the table. Its “All-pixel dual-core” autofocus system enhances focusing performance, particularly in low-light conditions. Meanwhile, the other two cameras, a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, remain consistent with the regular model. The trademark Smart Aura Light, a 15.6mm diameter ring LED flash, continues to be a prominent feature.
True to Vivo’s V-Series tradition, the V29 Pro boasts an impressive 50MP high-resolution selfie camera. This camera not only offers a wide 92-degree field of view but also incorporates Eye AF capabilities, ensuring precise and sharp facial focus.
The Vivo V29 Pro differentiates itself with its chipset. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200, it outperforms the Snapdragon 778G found in the standard Vivo V29. It’s noteworthy that the chipset remains the same as in the previous V27 Pro, with no significant upgrades in this department compared to its predecessor.
In terms of specifications and design, the Vivo V29 Pro closely resembles its standard counterpart. It sports a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. With a robust 4,600mAh battery and 80W fast charging support, it promises dependable battery performance. Furthermore, the Pro model maintains its slim profile, measuring just 7.5mm in thickness, mirroring the standard model’s sleek design.
