Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy S24 series, featuring the Exynos 2400 chipset in select markets, such as Europe. Although the chipset was initially revealed in October, crucial details regarding processor speeds and core configurations were not disclosed until now.

The Exynos 2400 CPU boasts a formidable Cortex-X4 core, running at a maximum frequency of 3.2 GHz, accompanied by two Cortex-A720 units at 2.9 GHz and three Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6 GHz. Additionally, four efficient Cortex-A520 cores operate at 2 GHz.

Samsung has affirmed that the new chipset delivers a substantial 1.7x increase in CPU performance and an impressive 14.7x enhancement in AI processing compared to its two-year-old predecessor, the Exynos 2200. The GPU, known as Xclipse 940 and based on the AMD RDNA 3 architecture, promises improved support for mobile ray tracing, rendering, and reflections.

Fabricated on the 4nm LPP+ process by Samsung Semiconductor, the Exynos 2400 features cores built on the ARMv9 architecture. It introduces a new ISP and supports LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

The AI engine, equipped with a 17K MAC NPU (2-GNPU + 2-SNPU), operates on both graphics and system levels. Camera capabilities reach up to 320 MP on a single camera, while video support extends to 8K at 60 fps with 10-bit HEVC.

Connectivity-wise, Exynos 2400 devices seamlessly integrate with GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo systems. The 5G NR Sub-6Hz offers up to 9.64 GHz uplink speeds, while mmWave can achieve up to 12.1 GHz.
