In response to Apple’s recent announcement about its September 12 launch event, Google made its own revelation last month. The tech giant confirmed that the official unveiling of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro is scheduled for October 4. With a little over a week to go until the event, it’s evident that Google is brimming with excitement.
To build anticipation, Google has released two teaser videos. The first video offers a tantalizing glimpse of its upcoming products, including the Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel 8 Pro. Take a look for yourself:
Not content with just one teaser, Google surprised us an hour later with another video. However, this “teaser” is more like a comprehensive product reveal, condensed into just 23 seconds.
As expected, the leaks have proven accurate once again. Both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are maintaining the design language of their predecessors, with several subtle improvements here and there. Notably, the Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to incorporate an infrared thermometer on its rear – an intriguing addition (hinted by the circular feature beneath the LED flash).
Returning to the Pixel Watch 2 showcased in the first video, it may seem like déjà vu. Doesn’t it closely resemble the original Pixel Watch? Our hopes are pinned on substantial improvements beneath the surface, primarily in the realm of battery life. And, let’s be honest, when we say ‘improvements,’ we mean ‘battery life’ – and we’re confident you read it the same way too.
Stay tuned for further updates on these exciting Google products!
