GeForce Now Welcomes Call of Duty Titles, Including Warzone

Cloud gamers can now dive into the world of Call of Duty as three latest titles, including the popular Warzone, make their debut on GeForce Now.

With Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision finalized, the publisher’s titles are progressively expanding onto cloud platforms. Contrary to being exclusive to Xbox Game Pass streaming, Nvidia and Microsoft have teamed up to broaden accessibility. Earlier this year, Nvidia’s service started supporting select PC Game Pass and Xbox PC titles, commencing with titles like Deathloop and Grounded.

GeForce Now is now adding three Call of Duty titles, marking its first collaboration with Activision. These games are conveniently accessible through a unified “Call of Duty HQ” hub. Players can now enjoy the latest installment, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, alongside its predecessor, Modern Warfare II.

Notably, the Call of Duty HQ on GeForce Now includes Warzone, offering the beloved battle royale officially in the cloud for the first time. Apart from making the game more portable, this cloud release could pave the way for mobile gamers to experience Call of Duty ahead of Warzone’s anticipated mobile port scheduled for early next year. Subscribers to GeForce Now can leverage the latest Nvidia graphics hardware to ensure top-notch visuals on any device with a robust internet connection.

However, it’s important to note that this release comes with some restrictions, as Nvidia specifies that certain platforms – “Android, SHIELD TV, and TV” – will not be initially supported. Looking forward, Nvidia assures that these devices will be incorporated in the future, hinting at the possibility of additional “legacy” Call of Duty releases joining GeForce Now down the line.

The arrival of Call of Duty HQ is part of a larger update this GFN Thursday, introducing 12 other titles to the library, including SteamWorld Build, an exploration and town-crafting game that continues a well-established and beloved steampunk series.
